S+L Teaching: Open Tables
Romans 14-15: Part Two of Salt+Light Community's "DNA Foundations," Winter 2021
In this second week of teaching and discussing DNA Groups, Ben Connelly led us through a discussion on Romans 14-15, where we're invited into God's vision for unity in Christ, not despite our differences but in and because of them.
By considering different things that commonly divide Christians -- in first-century Rome and 21st-century Fort Worth -- we look at different types of conflict in the church, and the Bible's teaching on how to respond to each. We see that God is more glorified as different things work together for his glory, and how Jesus was the first to invite others to the table -- not just when our preferences or convictions were different, but when we we were outright sinful and rejected him.
